I have a question the previous owner of my Honda Accord I guess he had a upgraded radio system on so I’ve notice that the subwoofer base sounds in the front and not on the actual subwoofer the subwoofer sounds regular

What i was thinking is tapping into the rear speakers mids highs and lows, ill merge the mids And highs into 1 channel, and use a rca distribution block, so i can make the 2 rcas into 6, then use thoses 3 channels to connect to equalizers, from the eqs i have 4 rcas each, then those to my amps, i plan on having 3 speaker boxes and a custom either a headliner or rear deck speakers setup, im thinking of putting speakers on the headliner probably 8 6.5 mids skar audio neo they are very shallow which is good, and speaker boxes 4 mids 4 tweeters and 1 box with 4 compression drivers, and for subs ill keep my 2 evl 12s on a rp 3500, for electrical i cant really find a high output alternator, so I'll do 2 0 gauge from alt to battery, and engine ground upgrade and negative battery upgrade, ill run 3 0 gauge wires under the carpet also sound deden the whole car, and 3 0 gauge grounds in the back, my supplemental batteries will be 3 down for sound lto 6.0 lithium batterys, should be enough tbh, and that's it, also probably 3 crossovers and epicenter

I purchased every mod for my 2020 accord 2.0t from prl 2 years ago plus kruner. They are still sitting in the boxes in my garage. Last year my 6speed manual trans dropped synchros in 2nd gear. My service guy I’ve known for years at my local Honda told me that Honda can hook their computer up and can see every time you’ve over rev your engine to what gear you over, rev your engine in and so much more. They do this so they can rejects warrantees. Now I was very lucky the fact that Honda warranted my transmission because my 2nd gear was completely gone. I ended up having to pay for only a clutch kit which was a little over 2k. The invoice for all the work done with the transmission was over 10k. I’m seriously thinking about selling all that PRL stuff that I purchased because I would really like my car to last longer and I stopped driving hard on the freeway. I love my accord I’ll never get rid of her. Maybe I’ll put that PRL stuff on it when she’s got 200,000 miles lol by then I’ll just turn her into a race car for just fun on the weekends.

this video is 3 years old, I have an accord EX-L sound system is the same as the touring. I am in the process of doing this to my car, full upgrade with amps, anything new to this process? anything different you would do to do the upgrade in 2024?

what model Honda you have? I have an ex-l and hear its more difficult than other models due to factory amplifier.

I having an issue with mine. The pieces in the back rotate… they didn’t bite into the mount the right way and swivel. Struts fall off when I close trunk because it rotates.

wish you had a video on how you spliced into the wiring. i got a 18 accord touring doing a full system with a 4 channel and mono for sub. trying to figure out how exactly i can get the 8 channels (woofers and tweeters) to connect to lc7i to my 4 channel amp

Massively helpful! Thanks a million for this I'm going to be diving in to mine very soon. I find the mids are pretty well pronounced on the stock touring setup but I guess they do lack on the lower mids and upper midbass range. I almost want to just keep the woofers there but change the tweeters which are also very loud stock but I find them pretty shrill and harsh so they need to go. Undecided there. Adding a sub is just a given. I have this great Polk audio high end 8" home theater sub (bypassing it's home use amp obviously) that sounds amazing for car use but I was using it in a hatchback prius and this car is probably way too big for that little sub. Especially with the trunk being separated.

do you have to drop all this just to replace bushings as well or can you access it without doing all this?

i did my own install as well. Yep you have to remove all that to just get to the radio. Thank God i did my research first before anything. But well worth it at the end! good job!
